WORLD WATER DAY PROMOTION

United Nations Water teamed up with the Right Here, Right Now Global Climate Alliance to promote the need for clean water on World Water Day 2023, the first day of the UN World Water Conference – by promoting innovative SAAF water technology that was developed through the Call for Code Global Challenge – the innovation platform for Right Here Right Now.

The SAAF Water team won the global tech challenge in 2021 because they used AI and Cloud to create lifesaving clean water technology, as they believe access to clean water is a fundamental human right that is being aggravated by climate change.

The SAAF Water tech solution is unique, as it monitors the quality of water, and warns users via their phones in real time when it becomes contaminated, then immediately instructs them on how to remediate the polluted water. With deployment support led by IBM and Arrow Electronics – SAAF Water is now in the market saving lives.
