5K RUN

ABOUT

The Right Here, Right Now Climate 5K took place on Sunday, April 16, 2023 in Louisville Colorado.  The road race  raised awareness and funds for the victims of the 2021 Marshall Fire in Boulder County. Fueled by hurricane strength winds, the climate induced fire quickly destroyed more than 1,000 homes, killing two people and causing $2 billion in damage.

THE RACE

Three time Olympic Marathoner and Right Here, Right Now Race Director Lee Troop  encouraged all runners to participate in order to show their support for the victims of the Marshall Fire.

The scenic 5K course ran through  the streets of Louisville, the site of the historic fire, and finished downtown. With local food and craft beer following the benefit race, runners are already looking forward to the  2024 edition.
